Please share why you decided to run for your local school board.
At the time I ran I felt that the District was in a good position for the education of our students. I wanted to be a part of that and help the district move forward in the education of our students.
What is your favorite thing about serving on your local board?
My favorite thing about serving on the school board is to see the advancements our students are making. The best part is watching the students graduating and receiving scholarships.
What activities do you enjoy doing outside your board work?
One of the best activity I do out side of board work is attending the productions at the Oldham County Arts center. Also related to that is the Oldham County performance troupe, song and dance.
Name someone in your life you admire, or who inspired or helped you along the way.
Curtis Whitman - He was a 7th grade core teacher at Durrett High School. He noticed that after my twin brother was killed my grades were falling. He took me under his wing and followed me through high school and attended by graduation. we remained in touch until he passed away. With teachers like that how can a student fail.
