Dayton Independent Schools receives PEAK Award

Representatives from the Kentucky School Boards Association presented Dayton Independent Schools with the Spring 2019 PEAK Award during a ceremony at the district's Lincoln Elementary. Dayton won the award for its Book a Week program, which encourages reading and one-on-one interaction between students and parents. Dayton Independent preschool students enjoyed cookies after the award presentation. The district’s Book a Week program gives each of the district’s preschool and Head Start students a free book a week for 30 weeks.
