School board attorneys are cordially invited to attend the 2023 Council of School Board Attorneys (CSBA) Spring Meeting, held in conjunction with KSBA’s 2023 Annual Conference in Louisville. Noon – 12:30 p.m. - Registration open
12:30 – 4 p.m. - Training sessions

Saturday, Feb. 25
8 – 8:30 a.m.- Registration open
8 – 9 a.m. - Continental breakfast
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Training sessions
12:30 p.m. - Training concludes

Agenda: Training topics will include a caselaw update, procurement contracts, Title IX, First Amendment, school taxes and funding allocations, school board attorney ethics considerations and more. Presentation materials will be provided in the days prior to the event.  

Registration is free for CSBA members. Non-members can register for $190 (the cost of dues) and they will automatically be added as a new member.

CLE hours are currently pending approval (between 6.5 and 7 hours including 1 ethics hour).

Access to at least two CSBA meetings per year, typically good for a combined 10+ hours of CLE credit for members of the Kentucky Bar on a variety of school law topics – presented by fellow members and leading experts.

Quarterly Council Updates
These emailed updates provide summaries of key state and federal school law appellate opinions. The updates focus on decisions of interest to Kentucky practitioners.

Access to National Council of Board Attorneys
Membership in this organization gives you access to discussions, a library, blogs, webinar trainings, and other current awareness resources.

Current Awareness Updates
Members receive regular alerts and updates on regulatory, legislative and case law developments.

CSBA Membership is available to attorneys who represent Kentucky School Boards. Annual membership runs from June until July.
