The secret lives of school board members

The public view of Kentucky school board members tends to be pretty two-dimensional. There’s the image of them meeting around a table in the board room or at a school. Board members may also be known outside that realm through their job, or church or as neighbors – the obvious venues. But a look beyond that finds some unexpected hobbies and talents that aren’t so well-known. During this School Board Recognition Month, we’re celebrating the “whole” school board member, with some help from members of the Kentucky Organization of Superintendents’ Administrative Assistants, who tipped us off to some surprising sidelines.
