Submission

The Kentucky State Parks system is once again making available its Commonwealth Connection program of reduced lodging rates for current and past government employees, including those who have worked in public schools. And, yes, the offer includes school board members.

The reduced rates are for lodge rooms ($44.95) as well as 1, 2 and 3-bedroom cottages ($74.95, $84.95, $94.95) at 11 state resort parks (cottages at John James Audubon Park) and for an additional $5 per night at Barren River, Cumberland Falls, Kentucky Dam, Lake Barkley, Lake Cumberland and Natural Bridge state resort parks.

The discount period runs Nov. 1 through March 31, 2015. When making reservations, be sure to mention Commonwealth Connection and Code CC14. Proof of government service or past employment may be required at check-in.
