It could be the array of classes. Or it could be the last chance to get required training hours. Or it could just be the opportunity to network with fellow local education leaders.
Whatever the reason, this weekend’s KSBA Winter Symposium in Louisville has become a big draw with possibly as many as 300 on hand for a day and a half of professional development intermingled with some quality camaraderie.
Participants may earn more than eight hours toward their state-mandated annual credit hours, including those in all three of the required areas of ethics, superintendent evaluations and school finance. There is a reception with food and beverages Friday evening and a continental breakfast Saturday morning.
The opening welcome session starts at 8:30 Friday at the Louisville Marriott East at 1903 Embassy Square Boulevard, just off the I-64/Hurstbourne Lane interchange. Here’s the full schedule at a glance:
