KSBA’s Board of Directors held its quarterly meeting and annual retreat March 22-23 at The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science on the campus of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. At the Friday director’s meeting, members heard committee reports, received an update on the legislative session and approved financials. During the retreat portion of the weekend, the board received training on its fiduciary roles and discussed results of the board’s recent self-evaluation. The board also broke off into two tracks – one for experienced directors and one for new directors. KSBA President Karen Byrd, a Boone County board member, unveiled new board committee assignments, and committees met briefly to review responsibilities and possible meeting dates through the end of the year.
