KSBA has completed the first leg of its 2022 Regional Meetings, having recently made stops in Shelbyville, Erlanger, Hazard, Somerset, Lawrenceburg, Murray and Owensboro.

School safety is the focus of this year’s program at each of the 12 meetings. Regional compliance officers from the Office of the State School Security Marshal offer insights into the supports available to districts in maintaining compliance with state regulations and best practices. Following the presentation, attendees take part in table discussions of school safety topics. As always, the meetings offer members opportunities to learn and network over dinner while receiving important association updates.

During this year’s meetings, six of KSBA’s 12 regions will select new regional chairpersons to succeed those completing their terms of service. The new regional chairs will be introduced in an upcoming Advocate issue.

Regional meetings resume Oct. 18 when KSBA visits Paintsville for its annual gathering of the Eastern Kentucky South Region. KSBA will then hold meetings in Harned on Oct. 20, Morgantown on Oct. 24, Williamsburg on Nov. 1 and Ashland on Nov. 3. Visit ksba.org/RegionalMeetings.aspx for additional information on the five remaining meetings.
